Day-by-Day Route Breakdown
Day 1: Drymen → Callander
32.8 km / 20.4 mi · 683m↑ · 662m↓ ·A big opening day from Drymen through Aberfoyle and the Trossachs forests. Pass Loch Venachar and the Falls of Leny before arriving in the bustling town of Callander on the River Teith.
Day 2: Callander → Killin
36.6 km / 22.7 mi · 734m↑ · 682m↓ ·Through Strathyre and up the spectacular Glen Ogle railway path. The old viaduct is a highlight before the long descent to the Falls of Dochart at Killin where the River Dochart tumbles over ancient rocks.
Day 3: Killin → Acharn
28.9 km / 18.0 mi · 923m↑ · 762m↓ ·The hilliest day. Follow the south shore of Loch Tay through remote oak woodland, passing the Ardeonaig Hotel and continuing to the tiny hamlet of Acharn with its famous hermit's cave waterfall.
Day 4: Acharn → Pitlochry
29.8 km / 18.5 mi · 782m↑ · 972m↓ ·The final push through Aberfeldy and Strathtay. Cross Wade's Bridge, follow the River Tay, and climb the final ridge before descending into Pitlochry to complete the Rob Roy Way.
